Our chamber choir celebration of Christmas. This year we follow a Marian theme. Five stars from the hugely popular and award-winning TV series Nashville perform a rousing selection of songs from the series alongside some original material. The line-up includes Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio.

The trio of Sheldon Agwu (Electric Guitar), Max Luthert (Upright Bass & Modular Synth), and Yusuf Ahmed (Drums & Percussion) unites three standout voices from London’s vibrant jazz and experimental scenes. Together, they craft a sound that merges rich harmonic and textural worlds with rhythm-driven interplay, deep groove, and fearless spontaneity. Sheldon Agwu weaves Jazz Guitar, ambient soundscapes, and electronic influences into a distinctive sonic palette, heard across his genre-defying releases Kintsugi, Vtet Live at Mu, and Seeds of Sanctum. Yusuf Ahmed-a dynamic Drummer and improviser (Qwalia, Unknown to Known)-draws from Jazz, Afro-funk, and global rhythmic traditions, bringing both power and nuance to the ensemble. Max Luthert, one of the UK’s most in-demand Bassists and Modular Synthesists, has collaborated with artists including Nubya Garcia, Zara McFarlane, and Moses Boyd. His playing is fluid, grounded, and deeply expressive, anchoring the trio’s expansive sonic explorations. For this come-and-sing day, the music will be sung in English, to allow participants the opportunity to get into character, and to feel more connected to the dramatic heart of the work, adopting different roles, from baying crowd to sorrowful mourner. The day will culminate in an informal run through of the music covered, at which friends and family are very welcome. Pre-printed pamphlets of music and lunch will be provided.
