"Possible inspiration for Dickens' Lady Havisham, Hatton Place resident Lady Lewson despite owning a large rambling house, occupied just one room and told her servants never to move anything. Obsessed with catching a cold, she ordered that none of the windows should ever be washed fearing that they would break and let in germs!"

Pregnancy is one of the most amazing experiences of a woman's life and yoga has long been recognised, by doctors and midwives to be one of the most effective means of easing birth. By working and connecting the body, mind, and spirit, yoga can help a mother feel comfortable, relaxed and fit during pregnancy, support the health of her growing child and ease delivery and labour pains. Pregnancy yoga has many benefits. On a physical level the specially adapted yoga postures will help strengthen tone and create flexibility in the body. The sessions will boast vitality, reduce stress and help relieve common pregnancy ailments such as back ache and fluid retention. Yoga Therapy London - Ante Natal Yoga Holborn

Dragons Hall - Holborn & Covent Garden
Yoga Therapy has been used in India for thousands of years to help heal many illnesses and physical injuries. It uses a combination of yoga practices to help restore the body and emotions to full health when illness is present. It is much more specialist than yoga with all sessions tailored to a specific ailment or injury. Yoga Therapy assists the systems of the body to function as efficiently, effectively and naturally as possible. The aim is not simply to help heal the specific symptoms but to target the cause and therefore help to stop the ailment or injury reoccurring. Much medical research is now available showing that Yoga Therapy is very effective in treating many conditions. Yoga Therapy is complimentary to western medicine and should not be viewed as a substitute for a medical diagnosis or the services of a physician. Yoga Therapy can be practised in conjunction with medical treatments being received and also in tandem with other complementary therapies. Website

About Holborn

Holborn is an area of Central London, England. Holborn is also the name of the area's principal east-west street, running as High Holborn from St Giles's High Street to Gray's Inn Road (the junction being roughly where Holborn Bar - the entrance to the City of London - was) and then on to Holborn Viaduct. The street since boundary changes in 1994 runs along the boundary between the London Borough of Camden and the City of London; previously the boundary was less obvious in the area and crossed the street at Holborn Bar.
