Discover the art of Reduction Lino Printing in this hands-on introductory 3 week short course. This short course is perfect for beginners looking to explore this creative technique or those who wish to expand their printmaking practice. Week 1will begin by looking at some finished reduction prints and talking through the process. Then we will sketch out a design, roughly 15x10cm in size, or 12cm square for cards, and work out a colour scheme for printing in three or four colours. Finally transfer the design onto a vinyl block ready to begin carving. Week 2 Once carving is complete on the initial layer we will work on getting a first layer printed, and talk about different methods of print registration. Further carving and printing to follow! Week 3 More carving and printing! And few pointers on the best places to buy equipment and supplies with some suggestions on books and online resources which might be useful. By the end of week three you will have an understanding of the reduction process and take home your own small limited edition of prints. All materials included. There is a caf on site. Cinderella is an exciting community pantomimetelling the tale of Hardy Hall, the home of Baron Hardy and his daughter Cinderella.The Baron has fallen on hard times leaving his wife, the Baroness, VERY keen to raise funds to renovate the hall. Although Cinderella's 'ugly' step-sisters Posey and Primrose could use a makeover themselves! Will Prince Charming save Hardy Hall? Will Buttons raise the money needed? Will Cinderella go to the Ball? Directed by Kaia Barton. Written by Lee Hall IHDC welcomes all ages and abilities, whether you want to act, sing and dance or join our backstage team, help to create props and costumes, or work on lights and sound. Group rates available for groups of 10 or more people. All profits from the shows help to fund our drama club. Doors open 15 minutes before start time.
