Called a “keyboard wizard” by New Yorker Magazine, singer/songwriter/pianist Bob Malone played keyboards for John Fogerty for over a decade, has been a session player for artists such as Ringo Starr while his film & TV work includes The Grinch, NCIS New Orleans, Dr. Phil, Entertainment Tonight and more. His last four albums have been in the Top-10 on the Roots Music Report radio rock and blues charts, #1 on the IBBA UK Blues Chart, and his piano-driven take on Fleetwood Mac's “Oh Well” was still on the SiriusXM Bluesville Top-50 Most Heard chart a year after its release. Bob’s shows feature classic anthems by Fleetwood Mac, The Band, CCR, Bob Dylan and others transformed into foot-stomping displays of keyboard pyrotechnics. Brandon Allen relocated to London in 2000 from Perth, Western Australia and since then has performed extensively with leading UK and international artists in genres from Jazz to Groove to pop. For well over 10 years the saxophonist with Kyle Eastwood, recording and touring globally with Kyle’s various projects, Brandon also co-leads OMAR + QCBA, an exciting collaboration with UK trumpet player Quentin Collins and legendary soul singer Omar Lyefook and can, in addition, be heard with a plethora of high profile bands. Tonight Brandon is bringing his dynamic new project with guitarist Tom Ollendorff to the Club, celebrating the rich lineage of guitar–saxophone interplay in modern jazz. Drawing inspiration from the music of John Scofield, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino, Brandon’s warm, full-bodied sound and Tom’s fluid, melodic approach create a dynamic, conversational, ensemble that sits at the heart of this project. As well as his fluent and impressive playing Tom is also a well-respected composer and arranger, most notably with his own Tom Smith Big Band. Joanna Eden has written over 60 original songs, was a featured judge on BBC One’s singing programme ‘All Together Now’ and is a sought-after vocal coach. Her appearance at the Proms performing a duet at the Royal Albert Hall with one of her former students, Sam Smith (yes, that Sam Smith) has further established her on the UK music scene as an artist of impressive talent and creativity. Her live shows combine the energy and rhythmic virtuosity of Latin music with the intimacy and honesty of her acclaimed jazz-influenced originals. Just back from a performing, writing and recording month in Brazil and Uruguay Joanna is accompanied by some of the leading lights of the Latin & jazz scenes: Andres Lafone (Airto Moreira, Snowboy)-bass Guille Hill (Mica Paris, Tom Jones)-guitar and George Double (Shirley Bassey, Mica Paris)-drums.
