Pastel is a multifaceted artist and self-taught musician, songwriter and producer, with French and Polynesian origins. Seamlessly weaving together influences from Brazilian, Polynesian, African, R&B and House, he has established a distinctive presence within the vibrant music scene of London. Growing up with a diverse musical upbringing that ranged from Polynesian melodies, curated by his mother, to the soulful rhythms of R&B, played by his older sister, Pastel’s musical journey began when he first laid hands on drums and keys. Progressing his musicianship through recording his first band in studio sessions, Pastel’s passion for production began to bloom. Branching out to become a solo artist, producing, collaborating with other artists, singing and songwriting himself, he has now accumulated over 1 million monthly listeners.
