The best Turkish food for an excellent price.

Smith's Brasserie

A beautiful and high-quality restaurant serving the best fish meals in London.

Il Bordello

A family-run Italian with turbot bigger than my face! Their service is outstanding and one that we can all learn from and appreciate the lack of nowadays.

The Captain Kidd

Serving organic beer to sip on a sunny London day and affording a garden directly overlooking the Thames. Many a pirate fantasy has been regaled in this public house.

Amazing coffee house with such good coffee and lunchtime food. Great smoothies too!

Pollyanna Training Theatre

Wonderful performance and arts activities for children.

St Katharine Docks

Independent restaurants for dinner after a quick drink at The Dickens Inn or take a twilight stroll alongside the yachts.

The Narrow

A great gastropub on Narrow Street in Limehouse with fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. The terrace has superb views of the Thames and you can go for a stroll around picturesque Limehouse Basin afterwards to walk off all the calories consumed!

The Culpeper

A great brunch menu on a Saturday and the service is excellent. The full English and the anchovy butter is a nice touch.

The SkyLounge

At the top of the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel near Tower Bridge, this sophisticated bar has amazing views!

Southwark Park

Between Canada Water and Old Kent Road, Southwark Park is a peaceful spot with a café and an art gallery.

Spitalfields Market

Great places to eat, loads of quirky gift ideas and a venue for all kinds of events, including a pop-up hotel.

The Breakfast Club

Fantastic breakfast dishes served throughout the day, but be warned, it gets very busy at the weekend, so expect to queue.

Bishopsgate Kitchen

Great food in a glass-walled Benugo restaurant that has a varied menu made using local produce. It is just a short walk from London Liverpool Street and Spitalfields Market.

Sushi Samba

Busy but buzzing and the cocktails are amazing. If you want to try sushi for the first time, no better place. Delicious!
