Chrissie Cartwright
Chrissie appeared in the original west end casts of Billy, Irene, Evita, Barnum and Blondel and in variety at the London Palladium and Victoria Palace. Television includes The One and Only Phyllis Dixey, Theres Something Wrong in Paradise, The Stanley Baxter Show, The Morecambe and Wise Show and The Good Old Days. She appears in The Great Muppet Caper, Lassiter, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and Mama Mia! Here We Go Again. Chrissie staged and choreographed the original West End productions of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Sherlock Holmes The Musical and the London premiere of Mack and Mabel. She choreographed The Entertainer, Devils Virtuoso, Annie, The Card, On The Twentieth Century, Witches of Eastwick and the musical staging for the Showbizpops Orchestras concert tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. More recently she has co-choreographed the UK tour of Miss Saigon. For television she choreographed Kiss Me Kate, Alas Smith and Jones and Hit Dancing. As associate director and choreographer - the London, New York and Australian productions of Five Guys Named Moe, worldwide productions of Cats and as associate choreographer, the London and Broadway productions of The Phantom Of The Opera. She was associate to Gillian Lynne on The Likes of Us, Brick by Bricusse and Dear World; was childrens director on Mary Poppins and resident director on Cats, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Sister Act and Wizard of Oz. Chrissie directed To Gillie With Love at the Gillian Lynne Theatre and was movement director on The Private Ear and The Public Eye and Birdsong for the Original Theatre Company. She is an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music where she has staged many productions including This is The Hour a celebration of the music of Claude-Michel Schnberg.
Peter Land
CHAIR OF TRUSTEES Lynne & Land Foundation
As an actor, singer and performer, Peter Land has had an international career encompassing work ranging from classical acting to musical theatre - roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and the Washington Shakespeare Theatre, to performing in musical theatre including My Fair Lady, Cabaret, The Phantom of the Opera and Ruthless! The Musical.
Through their production company, Peter and his wife Gillian Lynne produced charity galas and ballets, as well as shows specifically for smaller theatres such as the Kings Head and Jermyn Street. They have supported a wide spectrum of the performing arts including the development of the new Sadlers Wells Theatre.
Married to Gillian for 38 years, theirs was a true partnership based on mutual respect and a combined love of life and work. Supporting individuals and institutions has been a constant theme throughout their lives and is an inherent part of Peters ethos for the Foundation.
Sir Luke Rittner Trustee Lynne and Land Foundation
Luke brings vast experience to the Foundation from his many roles within the Arts world. He was Chief Executive of the Royal Academy of Dance from 1999 to April 2022, leading the company for twenty three years. Previously he was Secretary General of the Arts Council of Great Britain, Communications Director for Sothebys Europe, and in earlier years ran the Bath Festival. Luke was also Founder-Director of the Association for Business Sponsorship of the Arts (Arts & Business).
Luke has served on many arts boards, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the British Council. He was a non-executive Director of Carlton Television and was also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Luke holds an Honorary Doctorate of the Arts from the University of Bath and an Honorary Doctorate of Civil Law from the University of Durham. He is a governor of The Royal Ballet
In 2023 Luke was awarded a Knighthood in the first New Year Honours list issued by His Majesty The King. Luke received a CBE in 2017 for his services to the arts, particularly dance.
Sierra Boggess
SIERRA BOGGESS is an Olivier nominated actress who is regarded as one of Broadways most beloved leading ladies. Best known world-wide not only for re-inventing the coveted role of Christine Daae in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webbers The Phantom of the Opera, but for Lord Webber himself going on record to say that shes the best, the best Christine certainly. Boggess portrayed the role in the Broadway, West End, and the televised 25th Anniversary concert productions of Phantom.
Sierra made her Broadway debut as Ariel in Disneys The Little Mermaid, receiving Drama Desk and Drama League Nominations, as well as the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favorite Female Breakthrough Performance. Her additional Broadway credits include Master Class, It Shoulda Been You, The Phantom of The Opera, School of Rock and Harmony. Boggess Off-Broadway credits include The Goodbye Girl, Harmony, Love, Loss, and What I Wore and Music in the Air, alongside Kristin Chenoweth, for New York City Centers Encores! Series. In the West End, Boggess has appeared as Fantine in Les Misrables and originated the role of Christine Daae in Love Never Dies, the critically acclaimed sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, receiving an Olivier Award Nomination for her performance.
Most recently Sierra originated the role of Emma Dawes in the World Premiere production of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago.
