St. John's Church Playgroup

St. John's Church Playgroup
For many year's St John's has hosted an Under 5's playgroup. There is lots of space for children to play and playgroups make friends and provides a social contact for parents and carers. As well as toys there are sometimes songs and stories. Having enjoyed it so much, parents have come back for a post-school group once a week. There is also an increasing community of Russian speakers which are coming together once a week to tell Russian stories and sing Russian songs alongside English stories and songs. The Russian Speaking has returned to St John's after the summer holiday. There are crafts and toys for the children to play with and then part way through the group sing songs with a Russian folk singer, some English language and some Russian.
