Celebrate Summer with Soundbytes! There's no better way to enjoy the best pop music sung live..! Come and see Soundbytes singing the hottest sounds of summer - pop songs in 4-part harmony, songs from the 1970's, '80's, 90's & 00's! And all set in the beautiful grounds of Manor House School, with an outdoor bar open before and after the concert, raising money for one of our favourite charities Home-Start; Epsom, Ewell, Banstead and North Surrey, including Ashtead, Leatherhead, Fetcham & Bookham. Home-Start provides early support to families who are facing the challenges and stresses of family life, including a wide range of difficulties such as isolation, low self-esteem, physical and mental health issues. Home-Start work alongside parents in their homes and the community to help raise their self-confidence and their ability to cope in an increasingly pressured society. Tickets are free in the hope that you will feel you can give something to the charity's collection boxes at the end of the evening. Cash or contactless donations very welcome. Come & Sing...Mamma Mia!
Come & Join in the fun in this one-day Come&Sing the fantastically, fun-themed musical/film Mamma Mia! Even if you've not seen the musical, you're bound to know the best of the greatest hits of ABBA! No need to be an experienced singer or have never sung in a choir before, this day is for everyone. Just bring yourself and a brim-full of enthusiasm! If you've only ever sung in the shower...that's good enough! Led by professional choir-leader Hazel Hannam with over 17 years experience of bringing people together and making music happen, you'll fit right in. The group will be in 2 halves; upper and lower voices. If you're not sure which you are, don't worry, Hazel will help you on the day. There'll also be 2 professional singers supporting the upper and the lower voice groups to help you along the way. Words and music provided. No need to read music, no audition. The room we'll be using is part of the old Manor House, overlooking the beautiful gardens of the school. At lunchtime, everyone can go outside to eat their lunch under the gazebos (or in the conservatory if it's raining!). Tea and coffee provided, and plenty of free parking on site.
