The Whips proudly presents a Whippets production of AnnieJR . , adapted from the Broadway show with book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, and featuring everyone's favourite little redhead in her very first adventure. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks and his personal secretary, Grace Farrell. HORSLEY LIVE MUSIC CLUB PRESENTS BOO HEWERDINE AT THE MALTING HOUSE, BARLEY MOW, WEST HORSLEY THURSDAY 26th MARCH 2026 Join us for an intimate evening of music and anecdotes with the talented Boo Hewerdine, in the rather groovy setting of the Malting House. There will be seats for all who want them, atmospheric lighting and wrap-around sound. Boo writes beautiful songs, sings them wonderfully and accompanies himself with lovely guitar playing. Don't miss this opportunity to see and hear one of the UK's finest songwriters. ABOUT BOO Mark Boo Hewerdine has been called one of the finest singer / songwriter / performers in the UK. He is a unique talent and we are absolutely delighted to welcome him to Horsley. For the past thirty years and more, from an early job working in a record shop in Cambridge, Boo has worked across most aspects of the music business. As well as his own fine recordings and performances, he has collaborated extensively and more than 100 of his songs have been recorded by other artists, including Eddie Reader, K.D. Lang, Paul Young, Melanie C, Chris Difford, Marti Pellow and Natalie Imbruglia. ABOUT THE SHOW Where? The Malting House is a separate building at the back of the Barley Mow, West Horsley, KT24 6HR. It can be accessed via the Car Park at the rear. It is the home of the Horsley Live Music Club and is used regularly for intimate musical events, featuring acoustic, folk and jazz artists such as Steve Brookes, Reg Meuross, Hollie Rogers and the All-Time Lowes. There is a bar and a stage, seating and tables, and a relaxed, friendly and cool club vibe. When? Thursday 26th March, 2026. The doors of the Malting House will open at 7.15. The show will start at 7.30. There will be two sets, with a half hour interval, finishing by 10.00. The bar will be open until 11.00. Please show respect to the artist by being prompt. Latecomers may have to wait for a suitable interval in the show before being admitted. Tickets.Tickets are 20.00 (which includes a booking fee). Admission is by advance booking only, via Ticketsource. There are no concessions, no refunds, no returns and no resale facility. Seating. There should be enough seats for everyone who wants one, but this is not guaranteed. All seating is unallocated and cannot be reserved. Standing room is also available. Bar. There is a bar in the Malting House, with a limited drink selection. You may wish to buy your first drink in the pub, then bring it into the Malting House. Food. Food is served in the pub from 6.00. If you wish to eat, may we suggest that you order your food no later than 6.00. It is not possible to eat in the Malting House Parking. There is limited parking. We suggest that you consider sharing a ride or walking. Please note. Voice and guitar will be amplified. Boo will sing his own songs, which you may not know. Disabled access.Please contact us in advance and we will do all we can to help. This event is promoted by the Horsley Live Music Club. The club is a not-for-profit group of local music enthusiasts - all volunteers, who put on regular live music events in Horsley: 51 shows over the past three years. East Horsley is a village in Surrey, on the A246 between Leatherhead and Guildford. Neighbouring villages are West Horsley, Ockham, Effingham and Gomshall. Horsley railway station lies on the New Guildford Line between Guildford and London Waterloo. West Horsley is a small village between Guildford and Leatherhead in Surrey. Neighbouring villages include East Horsley, Ockham, West Clandon and East Clandon. It lies on the A246, and south of the M25 and the A3. The village lies equidistant between the stations of Clandon and Effingham Junction.
