Marley was dead... to begin with... It’s Christmas Eve, and Ebenezer Scrooge is alone in his room, dreaming of money. Except... he’s not alone. As the night draws on, spirits come to him; spirits of his past, his present, and his future. With each toll of the clock, Scrooge is forced to confront the idea that there is more to life than money... but can he change his ways before it is too late? Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale comes to the beautiful Boston Manor House this December, presented by The Arts Centre Hounslow, reimagined as a live radio play.

Come and join us at Boston Manor House for a workshop filled with fun, creativity and culture! Think florals and rural scenesall cut by hand using simple scissors and plenty of imagination. This in-person event will showcase the art of Polish paper cutting (wycinanki), inspired by Boston Manor House's current community exhibition My Country is My Home: The Polish Community in the United Kingdom. In this relaxed session, youll learn about the history behind the craft, the tools and techniques used, and why so much of it is inspired by nature. Then, youll create your own piece to take home. Try your hand at intricate designs inspired by the seasons and Boston Manor House's interiors as you immerse yourself in the world of paper art. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, this event is perfect for anyone with a passion for creativity and an interest in Polish culture. Step into the journey of migration, memory, and belonging through the eyes of the Anglo-Polish community. In this immersive workshop, participants will explore what home meansacross borders and generationsby creating their own "suitcase story." Led by artist,Ania Ruszkowski, and inspired by real-life stories from the exhibitionMy Country is My Home, the workshop invites participants to reflect on objects, memories, and cultural identities that shape our sense of place and belonging. Participants are encouraged to bring along photographs, images or items that are important to their own "suitcase story", for inclusion in their creations (please note, we will take copies of photographs, so that they can be used without damage to originals.)

This workshop invites participants to reflect on how identity is formed, expressed and transformed, particularly within hybrid or migrant contexts. Through conversation, analysis of artworks, creative making, and storytelling, participants will explore their own cultural narratives. Each participant will produce a visual piece and the option of a recorded story, contributing to a growing archive of Anglo-Polish experiences. Within just five years, the ensemble has garnered prestigious accolades including First Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Joseph Haydn Competition in Vienna, International Parkhouse Award in London and International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria. In 2024, Trio Bohmo released a CD for the label Supraphon featuring works by Smetana and Schubert which was ecstatically received and won the Debut Album of the Year at the Presto Music Awards 2024. Engagements during the 2025-2026 season include the Trios New York City Debut and concerts throughout Canada and the USA, and multiple performances at the ISA Festival in Vienna where the trio is to be the Ensemble in Residence.
