Miscast Musicals Produced by The Arts Centre, Hounslow Following the success of last years Magic of the Musicals, were turning the spotlight back onto the world of musical theatre, but this time with a mischievous twist. Miscast Musicals is a joyful, no-rules musical review where the casting book is thrown happily out the window. Men sing the songs usually reserved for leading ladies, women take on the big male numbers, and performers finally get their chance to belt out the roles theyd never normally be cast to play. Expect powerhouse vocals, surprising song choices, and a few theatrical curveballs along the way, as our performers take on some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage, just not in the way you might expect. Its bold, playful, and packed with showstoppers. A celebration of musical theatre where the only rule is that there are no rules.

Capture the beauty of a foraged leaf or a personal keepsake by combining it with the joy of weaving, to create your own personal treasured artwork. Design a unique composition by weaving around your memento using natural yarns, stitching into khadi paper. Although Joanne will bring some items along, please feel free to bring your own leaves or keepsakes to use in this workshop. We will provide all other weaving materials. This workshop is for ages 16+ The workshop will be led by Joanne Lamb, a local artist with a long history of working with textiles, specialising in woven work. Joanne is currently exploring her practice off the loom, focusing on an appreciation of the natural world and the handcrafted using basketry, natural dyes, and other hand-skills-based techniques to create one-off pieces that celebrate the gifts of the land, the properties of plants, and the innovation of ancestral craftspeople.

Howard plays regularly on the Reading & Oxford jazz scenes and runs Goring Jazz monthly gig showcasing some of the best local jazz musicians.
