WWT London Wetland Centre

This Easter at WWT London Wetland Centre there’s plenty of fun to be had for all the family with their giant Easter duck hunt. Hidden throughout this London nature reserve in Barnes are lots of lost ducks who need to be found, with a prize for every person who spots each giant duck. They’re also offering the little ones the chance to build their own LEGO duckling to take home, as well as their usual daily tours and an up close and personal encounter with the resident wildlife.
Horniman Museum & Gardens

While the Natural History Museum and Science Museum are packed out with tourists this Easter weekend, why not visit one of London’s lesser known museums for a quieter day out. Forest Hill’s Horniman Museum and Gardens in south east London is hosting a number of children’s activities this Easter bank holiday weekend, with an Easter egg trail, a hopping tour of the gardens from the Horniman bunny and the weekly farmers’ market on Saturday 26 March.
Easter at the London Eye

This Easter the London Eye is hosting an immersive experience in collaboration with Roald Dahl’s children’s classic and current West End show ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. The View of Pure Imagination promises to be an egg-cellent day out for the family, with workshops, stories and even actors to help set the magical scene for London this Easter bank holiday.
The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Races 2016

This year’s annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Races fall on bank holiday Sunday, giving you an even better reason to step out into the London sunshine (fingers crossed) and settle down on the banks of the River Thames for a family day out. Running for nearly two centuries, it’s a firm favourite in London’s spring social calendar. And with pubs along the course from Putney to Mortlake, like The Duke's Head and The White Hart serving food and drinks throughout the day, you can make a day of the actually fairly short races.
ZSL London Zoo ‘Land of the Lions’
Opening this Friday 25 March, London Zoo welcomes their new attraction ‘Land of the Lions’, which is a must for all big cat lovers. Built to replicate Gir Forest National Park in Gujurat, the enclosure includes a train station and a village high street, instantly transporting you to India. Eat Indian street food from themed kiosks and take part in an interactive experience designed to show children how vets handle animal emergencies.
Hampton Court Easter Funfair

Operating for over 150 years on Easter bank holiday weekend, Hampton Court funfair brings both white knuckle and traditional rides, stalls and shows to the grounds of beautiful Hampton Court Palace. Open from 12pm on Good Friday until Tuesday 29 March, there’s plenty of Easter weekend fun to be had for both adults and children alike.
Easter at Kew Gardens

This holiday, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens is hosting an Easter festival with lots of chocolate themed activities. As well as workshops explaining how chocolate is made and a chance to see the cocoa trees growing at Kew Gardens, Lindt is holding a Lindt Bunny Flavour Trail that will take your children on a sensory chocolate journey. Answer questions and collect letters to spell out the secret word, which is the code for a sweet reward.
Fenton House and Garden

Why not head on down to Fenton House and Gardens in Hampstead this Easter bank holiday? Built in the 17th century, the former merchant’s house has a number of rooms filled with artwork, as well as a charming walled garden, which is host to this year’s Cadbury Easter Egg Trail. Amongst the pretty flower beds, orchard and lawns are hidden clues, which are needed to collect your chocolatey prize at the end.
Epping Ongar Railway Easter Egg Hunt

This bank holiday there are eggs to be found on Epping Ongar’s heritage rail route from Ongar to Coopersdale, in what promises to be the “longest Easter egg hunt in Essex”. Running from Good Friday 25 March until 28 March, the experience offers visitors a glimpse into the railway’s past. Old-fashioned buses, trains and stations restored to their former glory all add to the egg-perience this Easter weekend.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Hosting a number of events this Easter, Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the perfect playground to keep the kids occupied throughout the school holiday.
