Exploring Colindale, NW9

Beaufort Park is situated within the North London area of Colindale, which is located mainly in the Borough of Barnet, although its western edge crosses over into Brent.

Beaufort Park itself is built on what was once Hendon Aerodrome. Many Beaufort Park streets and buildings take their names from the area's aviation history, and the nearby RAF Museum also pays tribute to the aviation heritage of the area.

In its time, Hendon airfield boasted many historic claims. The first long-distance flight in the UK took off from the airfield, and the first parachute jump from a powered aircraft and the first night flight were also achieved at Hendon. In the 1920s and 30s the annual Hendon RAF Display was a social occasion to rival Ascot and the Henley Regatta.

Colindale housing market

Colindale has performed well over the past year, benefitting from substantial regeneration in the area. Sold prices for houses have increased by 4.39% over the past year (based on Land Registry data for March 2018), giving buyers confidence in the long-term prospects of property here.

Transport options

The two stations closest to Beaufort Park – Colindale Underground and Hendon overground

Hendon Station connects commuters with City Thameslink services south into Blackfriars via Kings Cross or north towards Luton Airport Parkway.

The development also boasts plenty of dedicated cycle storage space, as well as secure underground parking available.
