Prices in this commuter borough have grown the most since 2012

London's commuter belt has fared well in recent years, with buyers heading to the suburbs for more living space inside, and green space outside, their homes. Waltham Forest has come out top of the pile for growth, posting an impressive 84% increase in average property prices since 2012, according to HPI data. We take a look at the borough and pick out a selection of properties to illustrate the area's appeal.


Diverse, characterful and attracting plenty of attention among buyers, Leyton is a district with plenty of charm. Easy transport links into central London via the Central line, plus good amenities and access to nearby Westfield Stratford make Leyton a popular choice for young families and couples.

High Road Leytonstone, Leytonstone, E11
