Is your home ready for the spookiest day of the year? London's beautiful front doors are ideal for getting into the Halloween spirit.

London is home to some remarkable front doors. They introduce a home’s personality and elevate its kerb appeal. They’re also a great way to share good cheer with the local community around the holidays – surely, we all remember last year’s explosion of decorated front doors around Christmas in Lockdown. This October, as we've been out around London, busily presenting homes to hopeful buyers, we were delighted to spot some scary good Halloween decorations, too.

London’s got spirits

You'll likely see more decorated doors in the coming years, as Halloween is rapidly gaining traction in London. According to Statista, retail spending on Halloween products in the UK has more than doubled from 2013’s £230 million to 2019’s £474 million. As people are able celebrate more freely than they could last year, sales are forecasted to rise again this year.

Your forever canvas

A home’s front door is more important than you might realise. Property reporter found that 93% of buyers have made their first impression of a property before they've stepped through the door, and 63% of buyers could be persuaded to offer more money for a home with kerb appeal. Who can blame them? This is the face your home presents to the neighbourhood and, of course, your canvas for showing off your holiday decorating chops. Take, for example, these gorgeous properties Foxtons has on the market right now. We’re just dying to get at these front doors with the string lights and autumn gourds:
