The regeneration of East London and the construction of properties ranging in price and finish - from affordable to luxury - is great news for the London property market. Not only is unused industrial land being utilised for the first time since the decline of the docklands in the 1970s, but also these new developments welcome much needed public space and leisure facilities that the East lacks. In Canary Wharf we are thrilled at the prospect of Wardian, a striking two tower design overlooking South Dock that is set to become one of the tallest residential buildings in the UK, incorporating an open-air pool, a sky lounge and landscaped areas at every turn! Another welcome development is that of Maine Tower, which is fantastically situated right amongst London Docklands right by South Quay Station.
Crossrail currently holds the title as the biggest construction project in Europe and it is by far the largest developmental change that East London and in particular, Canary Wharf, has seen in the past few years. Here, the newly built station will be one of the largest - housing not only a train terminal that promises a journey time of only 39 minutes to London Heathrow - but space for shops, restaurants and gardens that will form an exciting leisure destination, Crossrail Place. And with the arrival of this major transport route connecting east and west London, it comes as no surprise that developments like Wood Wharf are now in construction. Set within the Canary Wharf Estate, Wood Wharf is to become a landmark site of a whopping 30 buildings built on the eastern side of Canary Wharf, comprising residential, commercial and green spaces that will form part of the increasing number of residential buildings that are being developed in the area - like the first solely residential tower, Newfoundland.

Foxtons were great. Stuart Harris my main contact was on the money, on time and super professional. Stuart was supportive, understanding and effective. I did not know really what to expect of estate agents and was given a lot of contradicting advice about what to expect with Foxtons. Many people warned me not to go near Foxtons because their rates are so high and they market at a high price. At every stage of my experience with Foxtons they were organised, clear, quick, responsive and understanding. Stuart explained and helped me with each stage of the process. I would recommend Foxtons. Every Foxtons agent that contacted me was polite and gave good notice too, each gave feedback or explanations and apologies for a no show viewing. In the short time my flat was on the market I had many viewings and lots of interest generated by the publicity and hard work of a whole team of agents. I was really impressed by Foxtons' and Stuart's patient and understanding support. My reasons for moving changed and so while other agents are annoyed, Foxtons were understanding when I pulled out of my sale, knowing that I am more likely to return to Foxtons when I do need to move.

I currently live in Melbourne, Australia, and Stuart Harris just helped me sell my home in Clerkenwell, London. The entire process was incredibly smooth from day one. Stuart and his team are a sophisticated bunch. We got the exact asking price from a really solid buyer. Stuart referred me to a conveyancing team, too, that was super brilliant and super simple to deal with. In a market that's a little nerve-racking we sorted all of this in a matter of months, without a hiccup. No joke. Track Stuart Harris down. Seriously. He is commercial and savvy, and manages that very challenging balance between buyer and seller respectfully and thoughtfully. Nice work Foxtons. Not only did you manage this particular property for me for 5 years without fault, you affected an extraordinarily smooth sale, too! Greatly appreciated. Cheers, Sam Michael.

Antoinette did an excellent job when helping us find our new home. She understood our criteria straight away and showed us excellent properties. She also addressed all our questions and concerns during application/ agreement for rent process and was extremely helpful and accommodating especially in offering flexibility by anticipating the start date. Thank you Toni for your wonderful work!

Filipe has been brilliant throughout this. Thoroughly impressive when I first met him. Did a great job getting the property under offer before it even went on the market with Foxtons and then has worked tenaciously to get what turned out to be a more complicated than needed sales process over the line. I cannot praise him enough. Always happy to help even when things were getting fraught. Genuinely excellent and a huge thank you from me.

We’ve had excellent service from Foxtons, from start to end in selling our home. Everyone involved in the process has maintained a high standard of professionalism and efficiency, coupled with a genuine sense of personal commitment towards us achieving our goal. It is this personal approach which has struck a chord with us and we would recommend Foxtons Islington as people who are focused on helping you buy or sell, as opposed to the rather more corporate reputation estate agents have. On a technical note, the administration and the respect shown towards us as sellers during viewings was impeccable. We’d like to thank, in particular, Josh for starting and completing the deal, Stuart for oiling the wheels along the way, and Alex for his expert insight and guidance at critical points during the process.

Josh helped the buyer get comfortable with the whole process of buying and buying a house that needed some work. He was always calm and professional.

Chloe was so professional and helpful, putting whole afternoons of viewings together in super short notice. She was always very knowledgeable about the properties, and a pleasure to spend time with as well.

Chloe was great to work with, whenever a property came up that was suitable she rang me straight away.

I have been consistently impressed by the excellent service provided by Foxtons during many years of renting out my flat in Hackney but, when it came to selling the property this year, the team really excelled themselves. They were extremely helpful, courteous and responsive, providing invaluable advice and much-needed moral support throughout the process. I am particularly grateful to Filipe who consistently showed exceptional patience and perseverance as he steered the sale through choppy waters and high seas before bringing it expertly into port. Filipe is a true professional and a gifted negotiator as well as a very good communicator. I very much appreciated his frank and straightforward approach. I found the MyFoxtons client space particularly useful. It was updated promptly and efficiently, capturing all the necessary information in a single place and reflecting Foxtons’ genuine commitment to customer service. I would have no hesitation in recommending Foxtons to anyone looking to navigate the London property market which, as most people will agree, is rarely plain sailing.

Anna is a fantastic professional. She showed us all around the apartments she had available and that fell under our criteria. She was also very responsive to emails, and always ready to help. If I ever have to look for an apartment again, Anna will be our first choice.

Chloe helped us find the perfect apartment for our needs! She understood perfectly what we were looking for and understood our rather tight time constraint. She patiently showed us a large number of properties in a short time span. I particularly appreciated that while she was obviously interested in us making an offer, she never felt pushy, something I particularly dislike in many estate agents. As we were moving from Poland, we had very little idea about the complexity of the London housing market and Chloe did a great jobs providing us with loads of information, which definitely helped us making an informed decision.

Georgina was fantastic. As a first time buyer I was pretty clueless. Georgina helped me understand what I was looking for by showing me a range of properties that I wouldn't have otherwise considered. I've been dealing with a fair few other estate agents and Georgina stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Very helpful, and felt she went the extra mile by showing me as many properties as she could in the limited time I had.

Professional team. Greatly appreciated how they supported us in any phase of the selling process .

Beni was simply excellent! He took the trouble to understand what I was looking for, was endlessly patient, and, refreshingly, did not try to persuade me that a property was right for me when it very clearly was not. We found Beni to be charming and efficient as well as outstanding, so much so that we insisted on only dealing with him. Thank you Beni!

I'd like to rate Francesca as I've been looking for a flat for over 4m and hence dealt with a lot of different offices & individuals. Out of all of the people who've been showing me around, I really feel like she is the one who cares to find a great spot and fit for what I'm looking for and I appreciate it! She's well prepared, asks for feedback and knows exactly why she'd show you a property and what you'll like about it. I didn't once go to a viewing that I felt was a waste of time with her. I really enjoyed working with her and thanks for all the effort!

Josh stayed very much involved throughout the sales process. When necessary, he pushed with precision and at the right moments in order to get the somewhat protracted sale through smoothly and without unnecessary delays.

Georgina and Philippe were both very helpful especially as what should have been a simple sale presented many problems! They both made a great effort to speed things up although the delay was created by the vendors Solicitors who I would definitely not recommend!

The sales team at the Islington branch did an exceptional job at selling my flat. They were very responsive, always available (despite the time difference with the US where I live), and gave me a very realistic valuation which they were able to follow through with a purchaser very soon. Nothing was ever a bother, and I would recommend them to anyone else looking to sell a property in N1.
