We are proud to be partnering with Pride in London as part of our wider initiatives celebrating diversity within Foxtons and throughout London’s local communities.
We're making the most of our 67 offices by adding rainbow-themed window decals and email signatures during the month of July to celebrate Pride Month. We've also created a special-edition Buyers' Guide booklet, and a rainbow Foxtons roundel will be displayed in every Foxtons branch year-round.
Foxtons will have a stall in Golden Square, Soho, during the Pride in London parade on Saturday. Our experts will be on hand between 11am-8pm to provide free advice on London’s property market, with the theme of there being no ‘normal’ when it comes to buying a property.
There is no ‘normal’
People are increasingly taking unconventional routes to home ownership, especially in London. What once would have been considered ‘unusual’ personal circumstances are now common, causing lenders to create mortgage products that more accurately fit buyers’ needs.
With more than 13,000 new buyers registering with us every month, we see first-hand how the rich diversity of our city needs to be reflected in the way homes are bought and sold.
Contract, self-employed or commission-based work, friends buying a property together, or individuals receiving help from relatives – these are just a few examples of circumstances that mortgage providers must now take into account when assessing a person’s suitability. A wider variety of mortgage products and lending criteria means that a better match can be found for every individual.
