The Elizabeth line benefits many different London commutes, so it opens up a world of opportunities for homebuyers. It's also an exceedingly rare opportunity for investors.

Before the Elizabeth line, Jubilee was the last new tube line, back in 1979. So, there hasn't been an opportunity like this in the last 42 years.

John Ennis, Foxtons Managing Director for New Homes & Central London, pointed out a few 'valleys of value' along the line. When you map out prices along the Elizabeth line, there are areas with a relatively low average price per square foot (like Acton and Whitechapel). As transport becomes easier in these areas, and the motivation for regeneration grows, prices here are likely to rise too.

John said, "In these areas, you can already eat incredible food, drink in trendy bars and pubs, and enjoy great entertainment - parks, cinemas, theatres, museums, sport, shopping and the like. So, the addition of new, exceptional transport links will make these postcodes, which already boast other desirable quantum factors, feasible for more Londoners to live in."
